Artemis Stimulates E-Collaboration
By Anthony Garritano
Effective servicing involves a lot of collaboration both internally and with the borrower, especially in the case of workout situations. Responding to this need, Artemis Enterprises, Chicago, has launched a new technology tool.
Named after the company, Artemis is a solution for storing and managing shared enterprise content and contact information. The application is a Web-based technology that functions not only as a collaborative enterprise information management solution, but also as a portal for companies to actively share and disseminate information, enabling businesses to store, access, distribute and share critical information, both within their organizations and with outside vendors, clients and partners.
A hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, Artemis provides companies with a centralized repository and management solution for internal company and third-party partner contact data, and also updates shared contact information on behalf of user-members. Accessed via the Internet, Artemis does not require any up-front IT investment, and requires no software to install and no hardware to buy.
"There's so much contact data circulating within companies that data storage can become not only voluminous, but also very confusing and error-prone," stated Mary Hunter, CEO and founder of Artemis Enterprises. "Artemis makes accessing data very simple. There's one centralized location, so duplicates and outdated data are virtually eliminated. Users can be sure they're accessing the right version of virtually any and all data, from collaborative business projects to business content information, and contact data is automatically updated and available in real-time, from either a desktop or PDA.
"There's great power to sharing information," she continued. "Whether it's internally or with clients or strategic partners, having the most up to date information accessible at any time is critical to building and maintaining a successful business. Because all data is kept in one single location, there's little need for duplicates, multiple drafts, or even e-mail."
The system works in such a way that each member-user has complete control of their data, and can decide who can view and access their data. Web services breaks down the data silos of proprietary and legacy systems, allowing enterprises the greater flexibility in sharing data B2B and B2C via external websites and integrated technology partners. Once data is input, Artemis stores and manages the information, so users have a systemized, organized storage receptacle that provides access to the most current and up to date information.
The system automatically updates data by reaching out to contacts via e-mail and requesting that those contacts update their information via the Artemis website. Any time information is updated, the changes are reflected in real time and alerted on the user dashboard. Artemis is specifically designed to be used as a company's single communication solution and as such, it uses several layers of security to ensure that only authorized individuals access the information companies designate.
"Artemis is a one-stop shop for collaborative communication and commerce-it functions as a portal, intranet, extranet and data repository," added Ms. Hunter. "Companies can use Artemis to tap into the easiest, most effective way to boost communication among employees, clients, vendors and partners. Artemis has taken the difficulties out of disseminating accurate, up to date information by providing a centralized repository that is reachable via authorized access."
Artemis is available for a monthly membership fee, and is currently being marketed toward the mortgage industry, although the company plans to soon expand into other industries, including insurance, education, and government.
