NAR, VA Loan Captain Team on Home-Buying Platform for Veterans

The National Association of Realtors has partnered with VA Loan Captain to create a platform designed to help its members better serve the needs of military and veteran homebuyers and sellers.

Called The Patriot Program, the platform functions as an online toolkit that provides the resources needed to successfully navigate originating Veterans Affairs-guaranteed mortgages.

"Understanding the VA loan process is crucial when helping military service members and veterans," said Nick Sharma, VA Loan Captain's director of product, in a news release. "Having a platform that supports the education of Realtors and consumers is important."

The toolkit offers a customizable website that real estate agents can use to attract military and veteran buyers and inform them about the VA loan process. The site also includes marketing collateral, a VA Loan marketplace and a portal where the agents can track their leads.

VA Loan Captain was founded by Grant Moon, a veteran who served in the Iraq war, after a poor experience when purchasing a home with a VA loan.
